Navigating Call Numbers
The Alumni Medical Library book collection is arranged by the the National Library of Medicine (NLM) Call Number System listed below. When searching the Library's collection for books remember:
- Books are grouped by subject, so after you have located a pertinent title in the Library Catalog make sure to check around the area of your selected book for other related titles.
- Call Numbers can be long and complicated so be sure to copy them completely from the catalog before hunting in the book stacks.
- Circulating books, or books you can take out, are shelved in two locations,
Oversize and Medical, both of which are on the 13th floor. Dental theses and history of
medicine texts are also located on the 13th floor.
